have helped hundreds of America's poorest people strive towards life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I have smiled with clients during success and been overcome with anger and sorrow during failures. I worked hard to become an attorney because it was what I've wanted to do since I was 12 years old. The exact reasons have changed over the years but the focus has always been the same.

grew up in Brooklyn, NY to a lower income immigrant family, lived in Fontana, CA, Jackson, TN, and finally established roots in Chicago, IL. I accomplished a lot of firsts in my family but it is because of them that I was able to do my best and always keep my goals in mind. At 13, my father told me to get a job. Since that time, I have worked in so many fields that I can't even count them anymore. They may have seemedlike things to do to make money at the time, but as I look back on my work experience, I fully understand how much those jobs-whether it be cashier, bank teller, or pizza cook-help me in my career as an attorney. I can empathize with my clients because I am my clients. I put them at ease because I believe an attorney's role first and foremost is to make his clients' lives better. I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Political Science and from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, IL with a Juris Doctor.
